Collection: Fused Glass Floral Paintings

One of Jeweliyana's favorite subjects to create are wildflowers and poppies. The Himalayan blue ones were inspired by a photograph. Each petal is hand cut, ground and fit before she paints them with high fire enamels. Once the enamel dries it is carved, cleaned and attached to the base glass where she can finally do the frit painting part. It's like painting with dry sand and a spoon. The glass is slippery so after this step they are dusted off with a tiny paint brush and the centers are laid on with tweezers. Then off to the kiln for firing. It is a long and intense process with many steps. One wrong move and you have to start over.
